Information on Classes

Beginners / Intermediate / conversation levels

  • 4 Evening classes and 1 day class of small groups (minimum 5 students per group maximum 15)
  • Each session is of 1.5 hour
  • 1 session per week
  • 1 term is made of 30 consecutive hours of lesson (20 sessions- weeks)
  • All classes follow the Common European Framework of Reference for languages
  • Possibility of taking the international exams DELF and DALF of The Alliance Francaise with the support of the Alliance of Port Elisabeth
  • Registering as a student will automatically give you the membership status
  • No books needed for now. We work with diverse material and the teacher will provide the photocopies when necessary.
  • Tuition fees: 30 consecutive hours – Contact us for fees.  Each student must commit to a minimum of one term on registration (20 weeks). Should you miss a session, the cost will not be refunded or credited to another lesson.
  • The fees are  expected on registration (first lesson).

At the moment we have running:

Beginners class on Wednesdays from 11:30 to 13:00, Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm

Advanced Beginners class on Tuesdays from 17:OO to 18:30

Intermediate class on Wednesdays from 17:30 to 19:00

All classes take place at Merrifield School in Beacon Bay at the foreign languages centre in the wooden chalets behind the swimming pool
